Mellon Summer Institute for Intersectional Studies

The GSU IAS Collective hosted the 6 institutions collective for a 3 day institute to reflect on their first full year of the Mellon Intersectionality Grant, and to share ideas and plans for the forthcoming year. The 6 institutions collective includes GSU, Univ of Virginia, NYU, Univ of Ill-Urbana, Uiv of Utah, and Univ Southern California. This event is part of a three year schedule of programming and initiatives (including symposia, workshops, guest lectures and roundtable discussions, and the creation of an “Intersectionality in the American South” podcast) designed to advance these goals.
